Looking after myself - Gwynedd Health and Wellbeing Partnership
Having experienced a challenging and difficult time, which has affected many of us in different ways, it is now more important than ever that we look after ourselves. This booklet has been compiled by a number of agencies (who formed the Gwynedd Health and Wellbeing Partnership) in order to:
- Give ideas about how to start looking after your health and wellbeing by providing information about what is available within our communities.
- Follow the five ways to well-being (Public Health Wales) and get different ideas on how to look after ourselves, which makes a positive contribution towards mental wellbeing.

Staying Healthy
- Health isn’t just about doctors and hospitals – it’s about how you live, where you live and how you are looked after
- You have rights to make sure that you will be able to grow and develop healthily, and hopefully avoid going to the doctor or spend time in hospital most of the time
- You still have these rights even if are living with a disability or a condition which means that your health is not as good as you might like it to be.
What rights do you have to stay healthy? The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child includes the right to grow and develop healthily, to have nutritious food and clean water, and to understand how to keep yourself safe.
